Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is apparently not too worried about the collusion case facing the National Football League. In fact, almost flippantly, he is making jokes about having to turn in his cellphone during this entire process.

‘They’re gonna be a little surprised at how little I use that phone,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Wednesday morning.”

Oddly enough, one of the reasons Jerry Jones barely used his cell was that it was an outdated model. That's right. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys was walking around with the same cellphone that your great grandfather uses (but only for emergencies).

“Me and all the drug dealers in Dallas had that flip phone,” Jones said.

That is an actual funny line by Jones, but I imagine the National Football League would prefer he doesn't make such jokes.

This story has been forever developing. It now dates back to last year. Since it became a national talking-point, mostly hijacked by people who don't want to address the actual reasons why players have been protesting, not much has been accomplished other than a war of words.

If, and this is a monumental if, things are ever going to get better, it will probably take something happening from the legal system. People with belief systems aren't going to change their beliefs. Literal wars have been fought over not being able to see beyond one's own belief system.

Eh, I digress. Here is to hoping some true progresses — at least eventually — rears its head.
