The Dallas Cowboys are getting crushed by the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Thursday, and it may have just gotten worse for the NFC East franchise.

In the third quarter, Dallas star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb went down with an apparent injury while trying to complete a catch. He left the field and went into the medical tent to get checked out, with concerns that he had suffered a concussion.

Lamb was later ruled out for the rest of the contest, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The former Oklahoma Sooners star wide receiver was having a productive night in terms of yardage before he exited the contest. He concluded his performance in Week 14 with 121 receiving yards on six receptions and eight targets.

With Lamb no longer in the game, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott can be expected to rely more on the likes of tight end Jake Ferguson and wide receiver George Pickens in the passing attack.

Pickens entered the game leading the Cowboys with 1,142 receiving yards on the season, but he only had 22 receiving yards on three catches and five targets at the time of Lamb's exit.

This could also mean more touches for the Cowboys' running backs, especially lead tailback Javonte Williams, despite the game's script.

In any case, Prescott and the Cowboys urgently need to put together scoring drives if they are to catch up on the Lions, who held an 11-point lead at the end of the first half.

Dallas, which carried a three-game winning streak to the meeting with the Lions, is 6-5-1 in its first 12 games in the 2025 campaign.
