The Denver Broncos have ushered in some significant changes this offseason. It seems they have begun their offseason workouts without a familiar face in safety Chris Harris.
Teams around the league have started voluntary workouts. According to Mike Klis of KUSA, Harris is a no-show:
The Broncos began their offseason conditioning program Tuesday without Chris Harris Jr., sources told 9NEWS.
Harris absence hardly comes as any surprise. He is currently mired in contract negotiations and is likely looking to send a message. He is entering the final year of his deal going into the 2019 NFL season and will earn $7.9 million.

Regardless, his absence is still a cause for concern considering he has never been one to miss voluntary workouts before in his career. There is no question that he is hoping that both sides can come to terms on a new deal before he sets foot on the field this offseason.
General manager John Elway has indicated that he would like to first take care of free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft before working out a new contract with Harris. He has since spent that time shoring up some depth to the secondary with the addition of Kareem Jackson and Bryce Callahan.
The Broncos now have very little room to work with in the salary cap so it will be interesting to see what route they take this offseason.
