Denver Broncos quarterback Chris Harris Jr. was carted off the field during the team's Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Harris had issues leaving the field under his own power with what appeared to be a lower leg injury.

And that ultimately led to him being ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Though no official word has been released by the team on Harris' injury, 9News Broncos reporter Mike Klis is reporting that the star cornerback suffered a fractured fibula.

This is certainly a huge hit for the Broncos, who have built some momentum as of late by winning two straight games.

Denver scored a 23-22 win in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers before holding off the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 24-17 victory in Week 12.

Harris has been a huge part of the team's success since joining the franchise in 2011 and he leads the Broncos with three interceptions on the season. He also has 48 total tackles on the season and one sack.

Not having him on the field will open up plenty of possibilities for opposing offenses to attack the Broncos' secondary.

Following this week's game against the Bengals, Denver will head to San Francisco in Week 14 for a showdown with the 49ers.
