Denver Broncos cornerbacks Chris Harris is in the final year of his current deal and did not exactly have a shining offseason with the club, as the two sides failed to come to terms on an extension.
So, when Harris was heard saying “13 more weeks for me” coming out of the Broncos' locker room following Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, you may have gleaned that he isn't exactly thrilled to be in Denver.
On Monday, Harris took to Twitter to try and smooth things over, insisting that he was just frustrated by all of the losing.
“I am as motivated as ever to turn this around with the Broncos,” wrote Harris. “I love my teammates, coaches, and all the fans here in Denver. We were all frustrated after the game because we ‘CARE' and want to ‘WIN.'”
He then added that he is completely happy in the Mile High City.

Given that the Broncos are 0-4, you can understand that there may be some frustration in that locker room, but the fact that Harris will be a free agent at the end of the season definitely makes this seem like something more.
Broncos head coach Vic Fangio alluded to Harris' free agency on Monday, but doesn't think the defensive back's comments were that big of a deal.
“That’s just common,” Fangio said, according to Mike Klis of 9 News. “I think he’s obviously a free agent at the end of this year. I don’t worry about it too much. I’ll ask about it.”
Harris has spent his entire eight-year career in Denver, making four Pro Bowls.
