With the new league year right around the corner, the Antonio Brown sweepstakes are heating up. One team who seems to be disinterested in the disgruntled wide receiver is the Denver Broncos.

Despite multiple reports that the Broncos were interested, Mike Klis shot those reports down.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to Broncos fans—as John Elway has enough problems to deal with.

The Broncos are coming off a season where they finished with a 6-10 record. One of the reasons they struggled was because of the play of Case Keenum.

So what does Elway do? He trades for Joe Flacco to continue his carousel of quarterbacks since Peyton Manning departed in 2015.

The trade has been agreed upon between the Baltimore Ravens and the Broncos but cannot officially go through until March 13th—the beginning of the new league year.

Another reason why Denver would have a hard time acquiring Brown is itslimited cap space. The Broncos currently only hold around $17.6 million in cap space this offseason.

Furthermore, whoever acquires Brown will take a cap hit of around $20 million over the next three seasons. That is not something that is plausible with the Broncos current financial situation.

Also, Brown is going to bring a bit of luggage as he has made headlines with his interviews describing what went on in Pittsburgh.

It's hard to put much trust into a wide receiver who is heading into his thirties and can be a problem in the locker room.

Brown is still one of the best receivers but the Broncos aren't going to be the team who says yes to bringing him in.
