The Denver Broncos have already imported one marquee player from the AFC East this offseason. With Joe Flacco now entrenched as his new team's starting quarterback, might the Broncos also be looking back east for his top receiving target? Apparently not.
According to Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver, the offense-needy team has no interest in trading for stranded Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Antonio Brown:
“The Broncos aren’t interested in the Steelers’ controversial receiver,” he writes. “Among the non-starters is Brown wants to renegotiate his current contract that pays him $15.125 million in 2019; $11.3 million in 2020 and $12.5 million in 2021.
“To pay that kind of money, AND give up a high-round draft pick – AND have to pay even more to keep Brown happy? It doesn’t make sense.”
Brown requested a trade earlier this month following a 2018 season in which he routinely clashed with Steelers players and coaches, including superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and longtime head coach Mike Tomlin.

The six-time Pro Bowler recently pushed back on the notion that he wants to be traded to facilitate the signing of a lucrative new contract, though. “Not for the money its for the love of the sport!” Brown replied to a user on twitter who questioned his motives for wanting to play with a team other than the Steelers.
At 30, Brown enjoyed one of the most productive seasons of his career in 2018, with 104 catches for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 touchdowns.
