Former NFL head coach and longtime NFL offensive line coach Mike Munchak is back at it, this time as a member of the Denver Broncos coaching staff. Currently serving as the Broncos offensive line coach under the direction of first-year head coach Vic Fangio, Munchak continues to help his players get better as his knowledge of the game has reached legendary heights.

Ryan Harris, a former Broncos offensive tackle who also finished his NFL playing career along Munchak’s offensive line with the Pittsburgh Steelers, recently had some serious praise for the Pro Football Hall of Fame blocker.

“He really wants you to understand the concept of a play. He talks through things, but the techniques he coaches make it so that any player can move positions,” Harris recently told Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic. “Whether it’s an injury or whether you get tired in a game, you always have your technique to fall back on and you drill it, and you drill it, and you drill it and you drill it some more. He shows you in plays why you’re supposed to do that and it gives you an increased ability to produce.”

Munchak will now attempt to help the Broncos rebound in 2019-20. Struggling over the course of the last several seasons, the Broncos will still be forced to contend against the surging Kansas City Chiefs and always dangerous Los Angeles Chargers in the stacked AFC West division. Not only that, but even the Oakland Raiders have gotten significantly better this offseason, which doesn't bode well for the Broncos.

Denver will need Munchak's offensive line to step up and keep Joe Flacco or Drew Lock upright this year.
