A Colorado jury found former Denver Broncos lineman Justin Lewis Bannan guilty of attempted murder for shooting a woman two years ago.
As per The Denver Channel:
“Justin Lewis Bannan, a former Denver Bronco, was found guilty of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and two counts of assault.”
On October 16, 2019, Boulder officers were alerted to a shooting incident in a Black Lab Sports. The shooter was later identified to be Bannan, who had shot a woman in the right shoulder as she was entering a room inside the building. The victim thankfully didn't suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Bannan claimed to the police and the victim that the Russian mafia was out to get him.
“She [the victim] told police she saw Bannan sitting in the corner of the room and he allegedly said, ‘I'm sorry, the Russian Mafia is after me.'”
The reading of Justin Lewis Bannan's sentence will be done on November 5. Bannan was formerly drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round. He played for multiple teams in the NFL, including the Broncos, the Baltimore Ravens, and the St. Louis Rams. His last NFL appearance was in 2013 for the Detroit Lions.
