The decade is ending on a terrible note for Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. as his infant son passed away. However, the Lions fanbase and the entire NFL community is letting him and his family know that he is not alone in this difficult time of his life.

The injured wideout and his family came to the sidelines for the Lions' final game of the season, and the entire community pitched in to make him feel loved and supported during the Lions' narrow 20-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Ford Field showed a sweet picture of his son, Marlo, while the entire stadium stood up to show their support. Both Jones and his wife Jazmyn were reduced to tears while their children looked on.

He then took to Instagram to thanks Lions Nation for the support they gave him. ESPN's Michael Rothstein shared a screenshot of his Instagram story.

Marlo was only six months old when he passed away. He was even in the Jones' recent Christmas greetings video, so the sudden nature of his passing caught Marvin Jr. off guard.

“It is hard to believe that our little angel, our fighter from day one, our son ‘Marlito’ has unfortunately passed away and is no longer here with us,” Jones wrote on Instagram, via The Sun.

“Marlo, the joy that you brought to us everyday, with that smile, and that energy was like heaven on earth.”
