Matthew Stafford may be with the Los Angeles Rams now, but he has nothing but love and appreciation for the Detroit Lions and the fans who continue to support him even after his move.
In fact, Stafford had an awesome interaction with a Lions fan during the Rams' Super Bowl victory parade at Disneyland on Monday. The 34-year-old signal-caller noticed a fan wearing his Detroit jersey, and he showed him love by pointing to his heart then back to the said supporter.
It was definitely an incredibly heartwarming moment, which goes to show how much Stafford is loved by Lions fans and how much he appreciates them despite their lack of success together.

Lions fans have shown immense support for Matthew Stafford throughout the season, especially during Super Bowl 56 when the Rams faced and took down the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran QB, for his part, never failed to show love to his Detroit supporters.
“It was amazing,” Stafford said on the support he got from Lions fans during the Super Bowl. “Like you said, there was no reason for them to cheer for me anymore. The fact that they did is just a testament to who they are as people and who they are as fans. You play in a Midwest city, you know the deal. They live and die with those guys, the players, and to have that support all the way across the country here playing in this game means the world to me, my wife and my family.”
Stafford spent the first 12 seasons of his career in Detroit, providing fans a glimmer of hope year in and year out that things could change for them. Unfortunately, after years of heartbreaks and the team's failure to surround him with more weapons, he was traded to the Rams in the 2021 offseason.
Despite his departure, though, it is clear he still has the respect and admiration of everyone in Motor City.
