Detroit Lions lead coach Matt Patricia has caught plenty of flak from his former players this offseason. This has resulted in plenty of speculation regarding the temperament of the locker room heading into the 2020 NFL season.
Former Lions defensive backs Darius Slay and Glover Quin ripped Patricia on his coaching style on their way out of town. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, general manager Bob Quinn is confident that their comments are hardly indicative of how the team feels as a whole:

The update from Quinn is certainly an encouraging one considering the Lions are already dealing with their fair share of struggles amid the current rebuild. The last thing they need heading into the 2020 campaign is any noise about Patricia's ability as a head coach.
Slay pulled no punches when he suggested that he had lost all respect for his former coach. Meanwhile, Quin had attributed Patricia's attitude as the cause for their fallout from Detroit.
Regardless of whether or not there is any truth to the matter, Patricia finds himself on the hot seat after accumulating a 9-22-1 since taking over in the 2018 campaign. The simple fact that he has not found a way to win will be more than enough for the Lions to potentially seek out other options.
