Green Bay Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers made headlines recently over his rumored desire to become the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL with a $50 million salary. With his future still in doubt, it certainly put the franchise in a tricky situation considering they have other free agents to take care of.

While a lot of fans and experts have theorized that Rodgers' decision either to stay or leave the Packers wouldn't be dependent on the money, Kyler Murray's agent Erik Burkhardt questioned what's the issue about the 38-year-old MVP asking for more money. After all, it is clear he is worth more than that, especially given the fact that he impacts winning more than just piling up numbers day in and day out.

“Frankly, Rogers is worth well more than $50m per… ANNOUNCERS are now making $20m+! To drive to the game, out of harms way, & just talk about QBs/ players!” Burkhardt wrote on Twitter.

“Packers are a top seed contender with Rogers. What are they without him?? 5-6 wins & essentially irrelevant? Pay the man!”

Of course it is hard to compare announcers to players since teams like the Packers have to consider their salary cap. Not to mention that with other players like Davante Adams seeking a massive payout in free agency, it could be difficult shelling out top dollars for Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers is currently due over $26 million in 2022 and $25 million in 2023. Certainly, as Burkhardt said it, he is worth more than his current salary, but there are a lot of other considerations that go with it.
