The Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur connection has proven to be fruitful for the Green Bay Packers. In their three years together, the quarterback-coach duo has taken a firm grim on the NFC. LaFleur's masterful coaching and Rodgers' magic has been a headache for the other NFC teams trying to make it.
On Week 17, the Packers clinched another first-round bye with a blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings. With that win, the Packers move to 13 – 3, marking their third straight 13-win season in a row. No team in the NFL has done that… ever. (via Ari Meirov)

Aaron Rodgers is having a masterful season for the Packers once again, helping them weather a ton of major injuries to their lineup. Along with LaFleur's game-planning, the Packers bounced back from a dreadful opening-day loss to the Saints and laid waste to the NFC, as they have routinely done in years past.
However, the problem for the Packers has never been their regular-season play. The biggest issue for them in LaFleur's tenure has been the playoffs: specifically, the NFC Championship game. In two straight years, the team has failed to get over the hump in the penultimate game. Perhaps this season is the year they finally get their stuff together in the postseason.
Regardless, this is an incredible achievement for the Packers, who have overcome some big hurdles en route to the first seed. Maybe all the turmoil in the off-season and the injuries will be the fire that finally galvanizes the team and takes them all the way to another shot at the Super Bowl.
