Green Bay Packers linebacker Blake Martinez is seeking a deal that will pay him at least $10 million per year in free agency, according to Tom Silverstein and Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The Packers would prefer to pay Martinez around $8 million annually, which could mean that the 26-year-old will ultimately be joining another team next month.
Martinez is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he played every game and racked up 155 tackles, three sacks, an interception and a forced fumble.
The Tucson, Az. native, who played his collegiate football at Stanford, was originally selected by Green Bay in the fourth round (131st pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The following season, Martinez broke out, participating in every game and finishing with 144 tackles, a sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries and eight passes defended.
Martinez then posted similar numbers in 2018, tallying 144 tackles and five sacks.
While Martinez fills up the stat sheet, the Packers seem to prefer to add a linebacker who is better in coverage, with Silverstein and Owczarski naming Joe Schobert of the Cleveland Browns as a potential candidate.
Green Bay won 13 games and captured the NFC North division title this past season, locking down a first-round bye in the process. The Packers then defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round of the playoffs before being routed by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
