Mississippi State edge rusher Montez Sweat has established himself as one of the premier prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft. It appears the Green Bay Packers are among the teams interested in his services.

The heavy interest in Sweat is certainly understandable. He finished his senior year with 51 tackles and 11.5 sacks en route to AP All-America Second-Team honors. Although he had already drawn plenty of interest for his versatile skill set on the edge, he solidified his status as an elite prospect with one of the best performances by a defensive lineman in NFL Scouting Combine history.
There was initially some concern about Sweat's health after it was revealed that he had a minor heart condition. Regardless, he still managed to take part in every event at the NFL Combine. Despite being listed at 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, he broke the record for the fastest 40-yard dash by a defensive end with a time of 4.41 seconds.
The Packers currently own the 12th and 30th picks in the draft. At this point, it is safe to assume that they will need to use their earliest pick if they hope to potentially nab Sweat to shore up their pass rush.
