The Green Bay Packers have historically stuck with their simple yet sharp green and gold jersey with the yellow helmet that has the “G” on it. They have had the retro “Acme Packers” jersey that seemed to be a 50/50 split as to whether or not fans liked it or not.
While many teams have come out with one alternate jersey after another, the Packers have kept rolling along with their traditional options. On Thursday, that changed, when Green Bay released their new and sharp looking, “50s Classic Uniform” that will debut Week 7 against the Washington Football Team.
A history-inspired look with a modern vibe.

The new alternate option for the Packers looks super sharp but they kept it simple which really worked for this look. The blank yellow helmets with the green-dominant uniform looks pretty sweet and Green Bay fans will likely be adding to their cart online to scoop up some of the options that will become available.
It's set to be a huge year for Green Bay with the return of the reigning MVP, Aaron Rodgers, for the 2021 season. While what lies ahead after this year is unknown for Rodgers and the Packers, the team has a legitimate shot to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this year as they return most of their core from their last two NFC Championship runs.
Something about an alternate or a new jersey seems to provide a little more energy to a team when they are worn. That could be the case for the Packers with these 50s classic's and if it is, good luck to the Washington Football Team.
