The Green Bay Packers announced on Monday that they will be offering to sell $90 million worth of stocks in the NFL team. The Packers are doing this to help make improvements at Lambeau Field.

Packers will offer 300,000 shares that will begin being sold at 9 a.m. eastern time on Tuesday. The price of each share will be $300. The stock has no trade value and it cannot be traded on open markets.

“Anyone considering the purchase of Packers stock should not purchase the stock to make a profit or to receive a dividend or tax deduction or any other economic benefits.”

This is the sixth time in Packers history that they are going to publicly sell their stocks. The first time since 2011, but they have also sold in 1923, 1935, 1950, and 1997.

There are currently 5,000,009 shares of Packers stock. They are currently held by about 361,000 stockholders.

The Packers are in first place of the NFC North with an 8-2 record which is the best in the NFL. Green Bay looks to be one of the best teams in football once again. They had another demanding win over the Seattle Seahawks. They shut out Russell Wilson for the first time in his career. Aaron Rodgers came back from the COVID-19 list and led his team to a win.

It'll be interesting to see who buys the shares considering that they are not used to make profits. Expect him to sell out pretty shortly after opening.
