After a long hiatus, Aaron Rodgers joined the Packers in practice on Friday in preparation for Week 14. Afterwards, head coach Matt LaFleur spoke on Rodgers practicing. LaFleur said Rodgers was “limited and took as many reps are he could, and I thought he did a really nice job. It was good to have him back out there.”

Friday was the first time Rodgers was seen on the practice field since Week 11. He didn't practice prior to Week 12 against the Vikings, and rested during the Week 13 bye. This was his first practice in preparation for the rematch of the Packers vs the Bears.

He has been dealing with a fractured toe that he suffered during his time in COVID quarantine back in Week 9. This has been a major component to Rodgers' lack of practice the past few weeks. Fortunately for Green Bay, he refuses to miss game time, and says he doesn't really need to practice to perform. He told the Pat McAfee Show last week that he has been in the league long enough to do well without preparation.

For the most part, this has proven to be true. For example, Rodgers didn't practice ahead of Week 12, but still put up top-tier numbers. The Packers beat the Rams 36-28 in Green Bay. Rodgers threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns. He even had two rushing attempts, and although they didn't amount to yardage, it proves that he feels comfortable moving out of the pocket despite his injury.
