At the beginning of the season, LaFleur made it known that he wanted Green Bay to restore the home-field advantage that previous teams have had in the Packers' storied history. The first-year head coach seemed to have gotten his wish from the fans at Lambeau Field.
In his first year as the Packers' head coach, LaFleur led Green Bay to a 13-3 record. As a result, the team won the NFC North title and secured the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
By being the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the Packers received a first-round bye. Additionally, their first playoff game against the Seahawks was set to take place at Lambeau Field.
During the regular season, Green Bay boasted a 7-1 record at home; with their only loss coming to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4. Furthermore, that was the game that Davante Adams exited early with a toe injury in the fourth quarter.
As for the Packers' game on Sunday night, Green Bay jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the first half. While the team continued to hold the lead, the home crowd began to get even louder when they realized they could be playing in the NFC Championship Game.
After beating the Seahawks, the Packers are going into the game as the road team versus the San Francisco 49ers. LaFleur would love for the fans in Green Bay to be present for Sunday's pivotal showdown.
