Last Sunday, the Green Bay Packers managed to scrape by with a 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Meanwhile, Micah Parsons continues to relish his time in Green Bay.
Against the Cardinals, Parsons played on 54 defensive snaps. Altogether, he came away with five tackles as well as three sacks, a career best. Additionally, Parsons was able to finish with four tackles for a loss and five quarterback hits. As a result, Parsons was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
On Thursday, Parsons was asked about his performance against the Cardinals and whether he had more 1v1s in his career.
“Maybe my rookie year,” Parsons said. “And then they found out.”
If Steelers double team Micah Parsons more than Cardinals, he says they’ll have to find him first. Goal is to always find those 1v1s, which is why he moves around.

Altogether, the Cardinals left Parsons practically by himself to do what he does best. Meanwhile, the Packers are preparing to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 on Sunday.
Currently, the Packers are 4-1-1, while the Steelers are 4-2. Sunday's showdown, while being played in Pittsburgh, will feature Aaron Rodgers taking on his former team.
So far, Parsons has eight tackles on the year and is averaging 5.5 sacks. Parsons is in his first full season in Green Bay following the blockbuster trade from the Dallas Cowboys back in August.
A current assessment of Micah Parsons with the Packers
So far, so good with how Parsons is performing with the Packers. He remains a consistent defensive presence capable of generating tremendous pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Furthermore, Parsons is one of the most versatile defenders in the NFL. He can create mismatches and be flexible at various positions, whether as a linebacker or on the front seven. As a result, the Packers are becoming one of the most potent run defenses in the league.
At the same time, they are still struggling to remain consistent in the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, they are fortunate to have Parsons there to set the tone.
