All eyes will be on Jordan Love, who will make his first career NFL start for the Green Bay Packers in place of Aaron Rodgers this Sunday vs. the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

It's a big moment. Love says, despite some natural butterflies, he's ready to go.

“I’ve prepared for this, so I’m confident in myself,” the second-year QB said, per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman. “Obviously there’s gonna be some nerves there. There always is … I have a lot of confidence in myself. Confidence in this team. Those dudes are gonna take care of me.”

His mom will be in the stands, as well.

The Packers are riding a seven-game winning streak, led, of course, by the reigning NFL MVP. Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and has since come under fire for misleading the public about his unvaccinated status and his controversial and conspiratorial appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday.

Either way — Love's moment is here.

The 23-year old UCLA product — who Green Bay drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, irking Rodgers — has seen limited regular-season action. His only experience throwing the football came in a real NFL game came towards the end of Green Bay's blowout loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. He completed five of seven passes for 68 yards.

He had one rush for -3 yards in Week 2.

Rodgers offered words of encouragement for Love on Friday.

With Rodgers's future status in the short- and long-term murky — in terms of his health and his relationship with the Packers — Week 10's matchup in Kansas City could have far more implications for Love than just a one-week substitute gig.
