Earlier this week, Aaron Rodgers was once again popping up in headlines via a fantastical report claiming he could very well boycott the Super Bowl should the Green Bay Packers make it.
It didn't take long before the report reached Aaron Rodges himself. The Packers QB laughed off the news, claiming it was the “dumbest f–cking story”.
The news came from Morning Show with Boomer & Gio, specifically a 1-minute clip that went viral featuring hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti claiming that a source had sent in the tidbit on the Packers star.

However, it appears as though the clip was taken out of context from the show as the preceding portions apparently made it clear that the entire segment was tongue-in-cheek.
Article Continues BelowThe Funhouse Twitter account responsible for uploading the clip owned up to the issue after being called out on it, claiming he too was duped into believing the news on the Packers star after only seeing that portion of the show.
“I'll take the bullet on this one. My work schedule is nuts these days, so I'm only able to listen to part of the show. At the time I posted that, honest to God, I had no idea that you had 100% determined that it was a prank. Didn't know that part when I posted. Apologies.”

The Green Bay Packers enter the postseason with a first-round bye and a locked-in Aaron Rodgers. Fans can rest easy knowing there won't be any boycotts if they get there.
