The Jacksonville Jaguars just got a major boost to their offense, as left tackle Cam Robinson has been activated from the physically unable to perform list ahead of schedule, according to Pro Football Talk.

Robinson even practiced on Monday, which is a surprise considering that the team assumed he wouldn’t even be ready to start the season.

It was just two days ago that Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said that the team might have to play without Robinson.

The left tackle – who tore his ACL during the 2018 regular season – didn’t seem ready to take part in any offseason practices. However, it seems as if Robinson was able to get ahead of his recovery, and will now presumably be ready for the start of the Jaguars regular season.

With Robinson now available to begin building chemistry with his quarterback, the Jaguars might have a much easier time preparing for the regular season. Robinson will also help as a leadership presence in the locker room for the Jaguars, as they look to improve on a year that saw them drop well down the standings after a 2017 trip to the AFC Championship.

With the addition of quarterback Nick Foles, the Jaguars hope to once again be a force in the AFC, and perhaps make another run at a possible Super Bowl.

Entering his third season in the NFL, Robinson played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, and was selected in the second round (34th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Jaguars.

He started 15 games for the team in his rookie year, and was a big contributor in the teams successful run that year.
