The Jacksonville Jaguars once again played the role of spoiler this season, as they came away with a 26-11 home win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 18.
Overall, not much went the Jaguars’ way in the regular season, which included plenty of lowly performances coupled with off-field controversy as well. At the least, they got the last laugh against their AFC South rival.
Trevor Lawrence orchestrated arguably the most potent performance of his rookie campaign, as he recorded a pair of passing touchdowns for the first time since Week 1 and also posted a 111.9 passer rating. On the other side of the field, the Jaguars defense sure rose to the occasion as it notched six sacks and one interception off of quarterback Carson Wentz.
The Jaguars’ official Twitter account sure was not going to let such an opportunity slip by to troll the Colts.

Of course, this is all alluding to the Colts’ appearance on HBO’s “Hard Knocks”, as they became the first team to feature on the show during the season.
Fortunately for the Jaguars, this win did not prove to be a costly one for them, as they clinched the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Detroit Lions’ home win over the Green Bay Packers in their regular season finale secured them the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
A crucial offseason now awaits Lawrence and the Jaguars.
