The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting in on the Quinnen Williams party.

Although, they may be dreamers.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Thursday morning that Williams will visit the Jaguars today. Jacksonville has the No. 7 overall pick. It is doubtful Williams gets out of the top five picks. In fact, there is a strong chance Williams won’t last past the No. 3 pick and the New York Jets.

The defensive tackle from Alabama has been wildly popular this draft season. He has visited most of the teams at the top of the draft.

So, Jacksonville would have to either hope Williams somehow falls to No. 7 (very unlikely) or the Jaguars could be planning to move up for Williams.

Williams certainly is worth all the interest. He flourished as a first-year starter for the Crimson Tide in 2018. He then had a great combine, killing both the drills and interview portions of the event  in Indianapolis in the late winter.

Williams is being compared to Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp by some. In a draft led by defense, Williams is considered one of the surest bets available players.

He seems to be a perfect fit for the Jets at No. 3 and likely won’t slide past the Oakland Raiders if he’s available at No. 4. There is even some speculation he could be the surprise pick by the Arizona Cardinals at No. 1.

So, there’s no surprise why the Jaguars want to get a first-hand look at Williams. But it would be a surprise if they actually get the chance to draft him.
