Tim Tebow's attempt at getting back in the NFL ended on Tuesday when the Jacksonville Jaguars released the 34-year-old. It seemed like a long shot in the first place that he could actually make the roster as a tight end, but it seems like he has no regrets. After all, Tebow has a cushy job essentially waiting for him at ESPN.

Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer spoke out on cutting Tebow and made it clear that it had to be done, per Ian Rapoport:

In so many words, Meyer basically said that Tebow didn't have what it takes. I mean, learning a whole new position after years removed from playing is always going to be tough.

It was revealed before he signed with the Jaguars that Tebow was living extremely close to Meyer in Jacksonville. Their relationship from the University of Florida days was seen as the reason why he gave him a chance in the first place, but it ultimately hasn't worked out.

Whether Tebow remains in that same mansion or not is unknown, but maybe, we'll see him at some Jaguars games this season supporting his former coach. Nevertheless, there is no bad blood between the two sides. It's just part of the business.
