The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers are preparing for a Week 18 contest with huge playoff implications. With a win, the Raiders or Chargers can advance to the playoffs. However, with a Jacksonville Jaguars victory, both the Raiders and Chargers could make the postseason if the two teams were to tie. Chargers head coach Brandon Staley already weighed in on the wild Raiders-Chargers tie scenario. On Friday, Raiders head coach Rick Bisaccia and quarterback Derek Carr shared their takes on the wild scenario ahead of the Chargers game.

“I don't think I ever passed math, so I don't even know what the hell you just talked about,” Raiders interim coach Rich Bisaccia said with a laugh. “All I know is we're really excited about our opportunity in front of us on Sunday night, and we're going to look to put our best foot forward.

Raiders head coach Rick Bisaccia joked that he didn't pass math so he doesn't even understand the wild Raiders-Chargers tie scenario itself. The Las Vegas head coach did say that Derek Carr and the rest of the team intend to put the best product possible on the field. In other words, win the game.

Carr also spoke about the wild Raiders-Chargers tie possibility.

“Someone said we could just take knees and tie if that's the scenario [where the Colts lose],” Carr added. “I was like, ‘Well, that sounds good to you, but I don't want to tie these guys either.' To me, it will be full focus on beating the Chargers, and I'm pretty confident that's how our whole team feels, no matter what.

Bisaccia, Carr and the rest of the Raiders clearly have no desire for a tie, especially after Los Angeles beat them in the first meeting.

Las Vegas head coach Rick Bisaccia and quarterback Derek Carr will play to win the game against the Chargers, even in the event of a wild tie scenario.
