A few days after signing Josh McDaniels as their head coach, the Las Vegas Raiders are making a huge splash on their coaching ranks. Tom Pelissero reported that the franchise has signed Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham as their new defensive coordinator.

Patrick Graham will inherit a Raiders unit with a handful of defensive playmakers. In particular, their defensive line has the likes of Yannick Ngakoue and Maxx Crosby, both of whom are menaces for offensive lines. Knowing Graham's history, he can likely unleash the full potential of these two and create a terrifying defense.

The Raiders in general have made splashy moves with their coaching ranks. Prior to the Graham signing, they were able to acquire Josh McDaniels, a former offensive coordinator under Bill Belichick in New England. The hope for Las Vegas is that this coaching staff can take a playoff team and turn them into a contender.

It will be interesting to see if the Raiders organization can acquire assets in the offseason. With so many key free agents, the organization is salivating at the prospect of making their roster better. If the cards align right, this team has the potential to make a lot of noise in the following seasons.
