You better watch out Pat. Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby issued a stern warning against Patrick Mahomes in an interview on The Lefkoe Show published Thursday night.

“Just know I’m coming, no doubt,” said Crosby, whose goal is sacking the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

Crosby had his first shot against Mahomes last season in the Raiders’ Week 2 assignment against the Kansas City Chiefs. Mahomes had a field day that game, throwing for 443 yards and four touchdown passes to lead his team to a convincing 28-10 victory at the Raiders’ own field.

Mahomes was sacked twice that day, but none of them came at the hands of Crosby. He attributed this to the Chiefs superstar’s unique ability to elude the pass rush.

“I was close a few times. It pissed me off pretty much. Every second after that game was over, a couple of times I was just mad. He’s a different type of player too. He’s one of those guys. He just backpedals, he’ll throw the ball from weird angles, it’s not like sacking a regular quarterback.”

Crosby broke out in the Raiders’ final 12 games by recording 10 sacks in his rookie campaign, good for 15th overall in the NFL. As impressive as that accomplishment was, Crosby remains fixated in reaching his ultimate target.

“Yeah, I’m definitely looking forward to sacking him. It needs to happen. It’s definitely going to happen.”

Crosby will get another shot at his goal when the Raiders travel to Kansas City on October 11.
