The Oakland Raiders continue to hire NFL media with the team bringing in draft guru Nolan Nawrocki who used to work for Pro Football Weekly. It's unclear what role he will take on the team, but it is expected that he will take on some sort of scouting job.
The media-to-#NFL-scouting trend continues as the #Raiders have hired former @PFWeekly draft guru Nolan Nawrocki in an undetermined scouting role. Nawrocki is a principled, experienced voice who replaced the legendary Joel Buchsbaum at PFW. #NFLScouts

The media to the NFL trend seems to be heating up and started with the Raiders hiring Mike Mayock who used to work for the NFL Network.
Nawrocki has been well respected around the NFL for many years for having excellent draft advice, but there has been a couple of times he has been really wrong. Back in 2011, he went all-in and talking about Newton and how he would be looking for a new job in five years. Via The Big Lead.
“Newton has a track record as a non-dependable, non-trustworthy, fake rah rah leader at a very key leadership position, he could really struggle to win a locker room. He projects as a top 15 pick in this year’s draft, but he is still very much a project. In five years, don’t be surprised if he is looking for another job.”
As terrible as the take was, every draft scout is wrong at some point in their career no matter how decorated their career is, and it's no different with Nawrocki.
The hope for the Raiders is that Nawrocki will be right more than wrong and that he can be a valued asset in the Raiders scouting department for many years to come.
