The Oakland Raiders have signed yet another skill player on offense. According to his agent Jason Bernstein, former New York Jets wide receiver Jalin Marshall has inked a deal with the Raiders. The terms of the free agent contract were not disclosed.

It is also worth noting that Marshall, who was previously cut by the Jets last offseason, was most recently a member of the now defunct Alliance of American Football. During his time as a member of the Orlando Apollos, Marshall scored the first touchdown in Alliance of American Football history.

Unfortunately for Marshall and the rest of the league, the Alliance of American Football lived a brief existence, failing to conclude a single season.

Marshall was originally signed by the aforementioned Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in 2016. He then appeared in 10 regular season games for the Jets during as a rookie, hauling in 14 receptions for 162 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also gained some playing time as a kick return specialist. However, Marshall was suspended by the league for four games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy in 2017 before going on to spend the rest of that season on the team's practice squad.

Marshall produced 26 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns while with Alliance of American Football's Orlando Apollos.

Now trying to latch on in Oakland, the Raiders hope that the up-and-comer can contribute at least a few scores in 2019. However, the Raiders now have 11 wideouts on the team's current 90-man roster.
