Vontaze Burfict is at it again, and this time, the NFL isn't playing any games.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Oakland Raiders linebacker is facing a season-long suspension for his late hit on Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle on Sunday.

Burfict was ejected for the hit, which was not only late, but consisted of helmet-to-helmet contact.

The league also almost surely did not like the fact that Burfict, who has a well-known history of what can be characterized as dirty hits, ran off the field laughing and blowing kisses to the Colts crowd.

In four games on the season, Burfict logged 18 tackles.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Arizona State, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2012.

He had a terrific rookie campaign, registering 127 tackles, a sack and a couple of fumble recoveries. He then followed that up by racking up 177 tackles, three sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a couple of fumble recoveries, six passes defended and a defensive touchdown en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Since then, however, Burfict has been peppered with suspensions while also dealing with injuries, which have prevented him from playing in any more than 11 games since 2014.

He spent the first seven years of his career with the Bengals before being cut by the team back in March. He then proceeded to sign a one-year deal with the Raiders, and it's looking like that contract may have only lasted four games.

Oakland went on to defeat Indianapolis by a score of 31-24 to improve to 2-2 on the season.
