Chargers' Donald Parham Jr. suffered a scary injury in the first few minutes of Thursday night's game. The young tight end attempted the fourth and goal catch early in the Chargers vs. Chiefs game, but fell hard to the ground, hitting the back of his head.
After a few minutes and a very scary scene in Los Angeles, he was carted off the field in order for professionals to continue providing medical attention. Fortunately, the Chargers gave fans a much needed update regarding Parham's health. The Chargers tweeted Friday afternoon that Parham was still in the hospital after being diagnosed with a concussion, but is expected to be discharged later in the day.
Update: Tight End Donald Parham Jr. stayed overnight at UCLA Harbor Medical Center for observation after being diagnosed with a concussion. He is resting comfortably, alert and will likely be discharged from the hospital later today.

This is a huge sigh of relief for everyone who saw the injury, which seemed severe when it first happened. Parham appeared stiff after hitting his head on the ground, but was then seen moving his hands and fingers.
After being evaluated at the Chargers' stadium, he was taken to UCLA Harbor Medical Center to undergo testing. Parham stayed the night at the Los Angeles hospital. Following the game, Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert described the second year NFL player as “tough” and ” a fighter.” Parham is definitely living up to Herbert's praise of him.
