Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon offered a hilarious response to fantasy football owners after missing another game due to injury. Gordon was inactive for a second straight week in Thursday's thrilling 29-28 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, which helped the Chargers clinch a playoff berth while ending a nine-game losing streak to their AFC West rival.
However, for those who play fantasy football, Week 15 in the NFL marks a major point in the season.
Why? Because in most fantasy leagues, it's the semifinals of the playoffs. And that means that many players who had Gordon on their team were forced to search elsewhere in hopes of making the championship round.
That led to Gordon offering his sincere apologies on letting fantasy owners across the globe down by his absence:
To my fantasy owners …who lost without my help I’m sorry. Crunch time in these playoffs and I couldn’t come thru !! 😔😩 !! pic.twitter.com/vdwS6QPpiM

You have to appreciate the humor from the star running back, as he's probably getting more laughs out of it than frustrated fantasy football players that lost their matchup due to his injury.
But something tells me that the Chargers are a bit more interested in Gordon's health for the playoffs than the championship aspirations of fantasy players.
The good news for Anthony Lynn's team is that they've managed to win back-to-back games with Gordon out of the lineup, and it's put them in an excellent spot in terms of possibly having a chance to win the division.
Next up will be a difficult test against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16 before finishing the regular season against the Denver Broncos.
