Last week Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon only suited up for an emergency situation, but this week the plan will be different. Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn was on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Thursday and said that Gordon will be a part of the game plan this week, and there is a chance he will even start.
“He's definitely going to be a part of the game plan this week,” Lynn told Sirius XM NFL Radio on Thursday. “Last week we only suited him up for an emergency situation because we have some injuries to the backfield. If one guy had gone down, he would have had to play last week and that would have been tough because he only had a day and a half of practice.”
It makes sense the Chargers didn't want to risk anything last week after he only was back in the building for a couple days. Lynn also made it clear even if Gordon starts, he probably won't get the majority of the snaps because the team is going to try and ease him in slowly.

Gordon came back to the team in great shape, so it hasn't taken him long to get ready. Even if he doesn't have a full workload this week, it shouldn't take long before he is the lead back for the Chargers.
