Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is in the final year of his contract and he knows there is some uncertainty surrounding his future.

“I mean, they could be (the final two games),” Rivers said via NFL.com. “I don't necessarily expect that it is, or I don't necessarily think it's a crazy thought that it will be. I think you just don't know.”

It has been a conversation that has been kinda put off to the back burner, but with only two games left in the season, it's going to be something that needs to be figured out quickly.

Rivers has shown flashes of still having it, but he has a big problem with interceptions. In Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, Rivers threw three interceptions. That is the third time this year Rivers has thrown three interceptions and he is currently tied for second in the league in interceptions.

Overall, the team had seven interceptions against the Vikings and coach Anthony Lynn wasn't happy after the game.

“I haven't seen that team all year,” coach Anthony Lynn said. “We've gotten beat. We've never gotten beat like that. That was my problem today. That's my frustration right now. I haven't seen that team in three years since I've been here.”

Chargers backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor has one-year remaining on his contract with the Chargers but the team could also move on from him this offseason with little penalty. It's unclear if the Chargers have a backup plan if the team does decide to move on from Rivers they need to find a quarterback that can help them win now because the defense is really not built for a rebuild.
