It was a bitter game for the Los Angeles Chargers as they narrowly lost their Thursday Night Football game against the Oakland Raiders. Philip Rivers and the offense managed to keep the game close but were n't able to close it out as they fell, 24-26.

They are now 4-6 for the season, and Rivers couldn't hide his disappointment at how he performed. He was particularly terrible as he threw three interceptions and got sacked five times during the narrow loss, erasing any good his 207 passing yards and two touchdowns made. Two of the picks he threw were made in the first quarter.

He shared with Steve Kroner of the San Francisco Chronicle how disappointed he was with his efforts.

“The two (first-quarter) interceptions and then eight plays not getting anything” at the end of the game, Rivers said, “I’m disappointed I didn’t do a better job in those … spots especially.”

He especially wanted to win this game as it was to be his final outing at the Oakland-Almeda County Coliseum.

The Raiders are packing up and leaving Oakland for seemingly the final time as they are moving to Las Vegas. This hurt a fanbase that bled Silver and Black throughout the years. And Rivers was one with the Raiders community in making the most out of the stadium.

“It was obviously not the way you wanted to end your time coming here,” Rivers said. “It was one of the last-standing, last few active old-school NFL stadiums, kind of one of the originals.

“The atmosphere tonight was awesome. Just disappointed we didn’t play better and find a way to win.”

However, Rivers has to move on to the next one. His Raiders will be facing Kansas City next, and Patrick Mahomes could be playing by then.
