The Los Angeles Chargers had an opportunity to execute a game-winning drive during their 26-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football.

Not only did the Chargers just fall short in clutch time, but Philip Rivers also failed to complete any of his seven pass attempts on the team's final drive and capped it off with an interception. It was a truly troubling display with the game on the line.

As one might expect, the Chargers' lack of execution late in the game with a chance to win the game resulted in criticism for head coach Anthony Lynn and the team as a whole. Tim Kawakami of The Athletic expressed that Los Angeles ‘played this like they had to go 70 yards in 0 seconds with no timeouts.'

The Chargers now have a 4-6 regular-season record and are third in the AFC West standings. If they managed to defeat the Raiders, they would have taken over the second spot and that's why this loss is so troubling for them.

Prior to their disappointing loss to the Raiders, the Chargers were actually building momentum. They were coming off an impressive 26-11 win over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers and achieved a one-point win over the Chicago Bears during the week prior.

It won't be easy for the Chargers to bounce back from their loss to the Raiders given that they are scheduled to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11.
