The Los Angeles Chargers have gotten off to a disappointing 1-2 start this season, most recently falling to the Houston Texans at home by a score of 27-20 this past Sunday.

But Chargers linebacker Thomas Davis does not think his team's record is indicative of how good they are.

“We’re still a good football team,” Davis said, according to Jeff Miller of The Los Angeles Times. “We’re much better than our record indicates. But, at the end of the day, you are what your record says you are. So, we’ve got to come in tomorrow, we’ve got to watch the film and we’ve got to correct these mistakes. We can’t allow it to keep happening.”

Los Angeles won their first game of the season, outlasting the Indianapolis Colts in overtime, but they then put forth an anemic offensive performance in a Week 2 loss to the Detroit Lions before being defeated by the Texans.

The Chargers will get the chance to right the ship over the next several weeks, as the combined record of their next three opponents is 0-9. They will head on the road to take on the lowly Miami Dolphins next week before heading back home to play host to the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers, respectively, in Weeks 5 and 6.

Los Angeles won 12 games and captured a Wild Card berth last season. They then went on to defeat the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card round of the playoffs before getting hammered by the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round the following week.
