The Los Angeles Chargers are looking to on track with their first win of the 2018 campaign heading into Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
The Chargers may have to venture into Buffalo without the services of veteran wide receiver Travis Benjamin, according to James Palmer of The NFL Network.
Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (foot) questionable to play Sunday

Benjamin had finished the first season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs notching just a single catch on five targets for one receiving yard. He was a complete non-factor in the passing game with Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers leaning on his other receiving options to carry the workload. This saw Pro Bowl wideout Keenan Allen lead the charge with eight catches for 108 receiving yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Pro Bowl running back Melvin Gordon had nine catches for 102 receiving yards, and second-year wide receiver Mike Wiliams posted five catches for 81 receiving yards.
The Chargers have strung together a talented group in the passing game that features many different offensive factors that should see former Pro Bowl tight end Antonio Gates play a bigger role in the passing game against the Bills. This could put Benjamin in a limited role that should make his potential absence manageable as Los Angeles has a deep roster at the position. There may also be a greater reliance on the running game led by Gordon.
That said, he has proven to be a big-play factor throughout his career and has shown that during his time with the team. In each of his first two campaigns with the Chargers, he has posted north of 550 receiving yards and at least four touchdowns in each year. There should be more clarity with his status in the coming days that may take it up to be a game-time decision for the team as he will likely test it out in his warmups.
