Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen could return to action this Saturday evening against the Baltimore Ravens. Allen missed most of last Thursday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs after suffering a hip injury early in the game.

Allen has been on absolute fire prior to the injury and the Chargers have been arguably the best team in football as of late. Allen has filled in as quarterback Phillip Rivers' favorite and most reliable target of the years. The Chargers' leading receiver has 88 receptions, 1,074 yards, and six receiving touchdowns on the season. Allen had caught a touchdown pass in five consecutive games up until last Thursday's game.

The Chargers will definitely need their prized receiver back against a tough Ravens defense. Considering that the Chargers are now tied in the AFC West with the Chiefs this week's matchup will be very important and the stakes are high. The Chargers are looking at a potential first-round bye if they are able to gain some ground on Kansas City as well as home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Allen could see a lot of attention from Rivers this weekend, but equal attention from the Ravens' secondary as well. The difference for the Chargers will be if running back Melvin Gordon can return to action this week after missing the last several games with a knee injury. Gordon has been missed very badly, but the Chargers were able to beat the Chiefs without Allen and Gordon. They know how to win against adversity and look fantastic heading into the playoffs.
