Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is impressing in his first career NFL game.
After taking it himself for the first NFL touchdown of his career, Herbert shows off his arm on a 3rd and 10 from the Chargers 49-yard line, staying in the pocket and throwing a bullet up the middle of the field through traffic to Keenan Allen for a 25-yard gain (via NFL).

This throw looks to show that Herbert is ready for the NFL and is not afraid of pro defenses. The Chargers rook was put into the starting role after Tyrod Taylor suffered a chest injury during warmups prior to today's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Herbert is attempting to will the Chargers over the Chiefs in upset fashion as the defending champions are not likely to take this lying down.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have to overcome the rookie's first-ever NFL start and prove they are still the team to beat.
If Herbert plays like this for the Chargers, Taylor's injury could end up being like Drew Bledsoe's—which led to Tom Brady taking over as the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots. And the rest, as they say, is history.
