The Los Angeles Chargers(7-5) are set to take on the (4-6)New York Giants in Week 14. This should be a game that the Chargers easily win and help them potentially move into first place of the AFC West.In this post, we'll be making our Chargers Week 14 predictions.

Los Angeles is coming off arguably their biggest win of the season after a crushing performance against the Cincinnati Bengals where they won to 41-22. They finally showed everybody what that offense is capable of and they're going to look to do the same against the Giants. The Chargers have been great offensively for most of the season, but have been inconsistent at times and it has caused them to lose some games that they should have won. Factor in that their defense also hasn't played great for most weeks, and that leads to disappointment for about half of the season.

They're going to look to do the same thing in Week 14 and take care of a team that they are much better than. Let's take a look at some Chargers Week 14 predictions for the Chargers-Giants game.

Chargers Week 14 Predictions

4. Justin Herbert continues his MVP campaign

Justin Herbert has been playing like the best quarterback in football at only 23 years old this season. It's going to be tough for him to beat Tom Brady as right now it seems as if Brady is the clear MVP favorite. There are still a few weeks left and Herbert is going to have to show week in and week out that he deserves this award.

Against the Bengals, he came out firing as he went 26-35 for 317 yards and added three touchdowns. He's going to look to do the same thing in Week 14 against a Giants defense who can be tough at times. Herbert is going to throw for over 300 yards once again and for four touchdowns. He's going to help the Chargers walk away with a blowout victory where the offense scores 40-plus points.

He's going to continue his MVP campaign and try to convince voters why he is the man for the award.

3. The defense plays well for the third consecutive week

Los Angeles did give up 22 points against the Bengals which is definitely more than most teams would want to allow. The Bengals have one of the best offenses in the NFL so holding them to only 22 points is a big deal for Los Angeles. The Chargers are so good that they can allow their defense to give up 22 points and still walk away with a victory. Their offense is one of, if not, the best in all of the NFL, and with the weapons they have, they can put up points at will.

The defense is going to be going up against a below-average New York Giants offense and that's going to allow them to get some stops and build confidence going into the last five weeks of the season.

If this Chargers team can continue allowing only 17-24 points per game, they're going to be nearly unbeatable come playoff time. It's obviously not going to be easy keeping teams like the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to under 24 points, but if they can, they will not lose.

2. Austin Ekeler gets into the endzone twice

At this point, it seems like Austin Ekeler is going to score a touchdown every time he takes the field. He has eight rushing touchdowns on the year and seven receiving touchdowns as well. On Sunday against the Giants, he is going to have one touchdown on the ground and one receiving. He will help the team score more than 40 points. He continues to show why he's one of the best skill players in the NFL and at this young of an age, he and Herbert are going to do this in the NFL for a very long time.

The Giants do have a good defense so it could be tougher for him to score than usual, but he's still going to find his way into the end zone twice.

1. The game is over by the fourth quarter

Los Angeles realizes that earlier in the year, they lost to some teams that were not supposed to be on the same field as them. If they don't come out playing their best football, the Giants can be a sneaky team and walk away with a victory. That is not going to happen on Sunday as the Chargers are going to come out firing on all cylinders and take care of business while winning the game by three or more touchdowns. This is going to allow their starters to get some much-needed rest before they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night of Week 15.
