With Melvin Gordon asking the Los Angeles Chargers for a trade, a window of opportunity has been opened that the Chargers will need to take advantage of rather quickly.

ESPN analyst Field Yates names the Houston Texans as a potential trade partner for Los Angeles, citing the fact that the Texans have a ton of cap room, are ready to win now, don't have a star running back on the roster (not to mention that Lamar Miller is entering the final year of his deal) and that Houston still has all of its future draft picks.

Yates is certainly right in that the Texans check all of the boxes, as they can absolutely put together a package that could entice the Chargers.

Gordon has been holding out of training camp as a result of a contract dispute with the Bolts. Los Angeles offered the halfback $10 million a year, but Gordon seems to be seeking more than that, and LA doesn't seem willing to oblige.
