Superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey was traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2019 season.

Ramsey is considered by many to be the best cornerback in the entire NFL. Due to that, it makes sense that a lot of people believe the Rams want to get a contract extension done, as the defensive back is set to become a free agent after the 2020 season.

However, so far nothing has been completed. That has left a lot of questions in the air. Is Ramsey asking for too much? Are the Rams unsure if they want to give him a long term deal? Does the cornerback even want to be in Los Angeles for the next few years?

Nothing could be definitively answered, but it was all fun stuff to debate.

Now Ramsey is shedding some light on the situation, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN on Twitter.

Okay, so maybe Ramsey is not really shedding much light on the situation. Sure, he talked about it, but there really is not much to go on there.

We now definitely know that Los Angeles has been in contact with Ramsey's agent. And they know “what's up” and where he stands. That likely means they know his thoughts on the team and the future and what type of deal he is looking for.

That being said, we don't. So we don't really know what the Rams specifically know. Sure, we know the outlines. But what about the details? This still doesn't answer where the cornerback stands or what he's looking for. It just tells us that the Rams know.

And sure, Los Angeles knowing is the important part. If we are left in the dark, that does not really change anything. All the important people know.

It means that we don't really get much more information though. And that's going to lead to a lot more speculation as there is nothing to hold on to as a definitive direction.

What we do know is that Ramsey is a member of the Rams for the 2020 season. He's one of the best cornerbacks in football and will be getting a monster deal with some team in the not-so-distant future. So be on the lookout for more news.
