After an impressive win over the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round, the Los Angeles Rams bowed out to a surging Green Bay Packers side on Saturday in the Divisional Round, which put an end to what was an impressive campaign for the Rams. For his part, Los Angeles cornerback Jalen Ramsey admitted that it was a bitter end to the season, but that from a personal standpoint, it was a memorable run for him.

According to Ramsey, he rates the 2020 season as the best season he's had in his entire career:

“The year didn’t end how we wanted it to as a team, but there are some positives to take away from it,” Ramsey said, via Stu Jackson of the team’s website. “Personally, for me, I feel like I had probably my best year in my NFL career thus far. I feel like I put out the best body of work out that I’ve ever put out.”

It's hard to argue against Ramsey's statement here. After all, his outstanding play throughout the season is one of the biggest reasons why the Rams went as far as they did this term.

Ramsey, who was named to his fourth Pro Bowl after another noteworthy campaign, went on to say that in his mind, he truly appreciates the huge role cornerbacks coach Aubrey Pleasant played in his development this season:

“I think I've said this before in one of these media sessions, I've taken my game to another level, and in my opinion, this is the best body of work that I've put out in the NFL, a lot of that is thanks to him,” Ramsey said.

The Rams know how special Ramsey is and how important he will be for the franchise moving forward. As such, the team rewarded the 26-year-old with a massive $105 million, five-year extension last September, making him the highest-paid DB in NFL history.
