The Los Angeles Rams have managed to capitalize on their stellar 2017 campaign with the addition of some serious star power this NFL offseason. As a result, they have emerged as potential favorites to win Super Bowl LIII.

However, Rams players have been adamant about ignoring the hype and focusing on their preparation. Quarterback Jared Goff doubled down on that sentiment, via the team's official website:

“I think you see every year there are teams that get that type of label and often fall short, and you wonder why,” Goff said. “I think that's something we can't really focus on … take every day like we have the past year and build off of what we did in the spring.”

Goff is not the only one to dispel all the buzz surrounding Los Angeles. Players such as defensive tackle Michael Brockers and left guard Rodger Saffold have done what they can to make sure the team does not coast on its merits.

There is no question that the Rams are just about as talented as any team in the league. However, they will still need to find a way to mesh by the time the 2018 NFL season rolls around. It goes without saying that Goff will be at the forefront of any success they enjoy this season.

The former No. 1 overall pick enters training camp not as an unproven quarterback, but a budding franchise player. He managed to silence the critics in year two. However, it will be interesting to see if he can improve on his remarkable 2017 campaign.
