With the Los Angeles Rams set to take on the San Francisco 49ers, the rivalry between the two franchises is heating up. The last time these two faced off, San Francisco got the better of LA. After that game, superstar tight end George Kittle made comments about putting Los Angeles “in a body bag.” Now, LA's defensive coordinator Raheem Morris responds.

According to Bridget Condon, Morris didn't mince words when discussing George Kittle. He acknowledged Kittle's comments and didn't combat them. Instead, the Rams defensive coordinator made a bold statement of his own.

Raheem Morris has proven to be an elite defensive coordinator and deserves a chance to be a head coach of a franchise soon. He'll be doing everything in his power to ensure the Rams defense shows up and shows out against the 49ers. A victory on Sunday washes away LA's recent struggles against San Francisco.

It's safe to say, the rivalry between the Rams and 49ers has blossomed into a fun competition. Although Los Angeles is the better team on paper, Kyle Shanahan and his team have out-coached Sean McVay. It also doesn't help these teams face each other twice a year and now they play against each other in the biggest game of the season outside of the Super Bowl.

Look for this matchup to potentially come down to the wire. With everything on the line, we should see some high-quality football from both organizations. If Raheem Morris can get his defense focused and ready, the Rams should be able to eliminate the 49ers on Sunday.
