Imagine the options. Run it with Todd Gurley or throw it to Odell Beckham Jr., all in the great media market that is Los Angeles. The former is already imagining it.
When asked about the possibility of the ultra-talented OBJ taking his talents to the Los Angeles Rams, the NFL Offensive Player of the Year put his guard down and portrayed real emotions, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.
“Oh yeah, that’s my guy,” Gurley said of Beckham, via Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times. “There’s always enough snaps. There’s always enough snaps.
“If we had him, man, it would be awesome. I’d be happy, Goff will be happy, coach McVay will be happy, [owner Stan] Kroenke, the whole team would be.”
Are we discussing Madden right now? Are we getting the great people over at EA Sports all tipsy with these conjured up thoughts of Gurley and OBJ on the same side of the field at the same time (other than the meaningless and boring Pro Bowl, of course)?
Gurley, 23, is still extremely young. As the 10th overall selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, 2017 was his supreme breakout (as opposed to his rookie breakout of 2015). All told, he rushed for 1,305 yards to go along with 13 touchdowns and a sparkling 4.7 yards per carry.
Beckham, 25, is also still considered a young NFL pup. Though his 2017 season ended prematurely, nobody in the NFL has ever been as prolific as OBJ has through the first three seasons of a career.
We know you're already trading Odell Beckham Jr. to the Los Angeles Rams on Madden NFL 18, but in real life, you'll just have to wait to see what the future holds.
